Dr. Vera Rödel
Dr. Vera Rödel is a German-qualified lawyer with over 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. She holds a Master's in Health and Medical Management and has led high-impact legal teams, including the Global Legal Neurology & Immunology and Cardio Metabolic & Endocrinology team at Merck Legal Healthcare. Before joining Merck in 2014, she gained valuable experience at Boehringer Ingelheim and Linklaters LLP.
Since early 2022, Dr. Rödel has served as the Global Lead Antitrust at Merck, overseeing all antitrust-related matters, developing strategic solutions, and liaising with industry stakeholders and regulatory authorities. In 2023, she expanded her responsibilities to include Risk Governance and Management.
In early 2023, Dr. Rödel co-founded Prof. Valmed®, a startup specializing in validated medical AI applications, aiming to enhance healthcare by providing accessible, high-quality medical information through an AI-driven chatbot.
Building on her commitment to innovation, Dr. Rödel also co-founded Transforming Legal, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to rethinking and streamlining legal operations to foster efficiency and adaptability in the legal sector.
